The project
A documentary following Ladakh’s Pashmina ecosystem through its people, craft and cultural history. It connects the experiences of nomadic communities and artisans with questions of sustainability and livelihood.
Nikita’s contribution
For her first long-form documentary, Nikita researched the region’s history and Pashmina trade, found participants and subject experts, and co-wrote the film with its director. She supported production planning and the location shoot, then supervised editing, narrative structure, pacing and visual storytelling. The film received recognition at international film festivals.
